Dear Friends, There are 2 conferences in Delhi, India of interest of some members during 17-19 October, 2005. 1. ICT and Education: Challenge and Practice (Digital Learning 2005) A two day conference on Digital Learning on the theme 'ICT and Education: Challenges and Practices'. The objective of the conference will be to create a platform for interchange of views among experts, professionals, researchers and academicians regarding theoretical and practical aspects of ICT implementation in education. Special focus will be made on open source applications and related policy issues. This two-day conference will be of interest to policy imple-menters, persons associated with advocacy, decision makers, managers, administrators, e-Learning content developers, ICT experts and the learning community. Conflux 2005 Conflux 2005 is a three day conference and exhibition being organized by Centre for Science Development and Media Studies (CSDMS) in collaboration with Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi. The objective of the event is to showcase e-Government developments in India and the Asia Pacific and learn from the succesful practices in the region. The conference program will serve as a platform to bring experts from the various countries, key government representatives, industry and academia together to discuss the issues and priorities on the subject. The particpants will be able to demonstrate their initiatives, take feedback from the communinty and learn about the processes, technologies and solutions which can address their concerns. The three key stakeholders in e-Government program implementation-the government, private and the NGO sector will be sharing their successes, failures and opportuninties during the conference. Conflux 2005 is designed to help attendees address these challenges and provides practical, actionable knowledge through sharing of better learning practices, presentation on e-Government case studies from various Indian states and also from other Asian countries.
