Dear Colleagues,
We the Library staff are working in a Business School which is a constituent of
a Deemed to be University under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 by Ministry of
Human Resource Development, Government of India, and approved by MHRD/UGC.
This University is a self-financing institution and hence does not receive any
plan or non-plan grants-in-aid by the Central Government or the State Government
or by any agency assisted by the Central Government or State Government. But our
university has recruited all Teaching and Non-Teaching on Contract Basis. Our
University is paying Sixth PRC Payscales to all the teaching staff and denying
the Qualfied Library Staff to get the benefits of Payscales. The Library staff
of our University are being paid with some consolidated salaries.
My quiry is whether the Library Staff of other self-financing Universities
which are declared as Deemed to be University under section 3 of the UGC Act
1956, are being paid with Sixth PRC Payscales. Kindly provide the details
What are the recommendtion and regulation of UGC or Government of India, MHRD in
regarding the Payscales for Library staff working in self-financing Universities
which are declared as Deemed to be University.
Kindly help us in this issue by providing relevant information regarding the
recommended Payscales for Library staff working in self-financing Universities
which are declared as Deemed to be University
Thanking you
Murali Krishan
