I have been away from office (and email) for more than a week now. The sad news about the untimely demise of Dr. Cholin was revealed to me just yesterday. It was indeed shocking news for me. It is very unfortunate that the LIS fraternity has lost yet another stalwart in a short span of time. Apart from being a great professional, he was a true gentleman, ever willing to lend a helping hand to anybody who was in need of it. I had had couple email exchanges with him just the last week and it is hard to believe that he is no more with us today. I have just been able to go through couple of messages posted on this forum about Dr. Cholin's achievements. It is very impressive and heartening that an alumni of NCSI had so much of professional achievements in a short career of just over a decade. As Mr. Prafulla Chandra has rightly mentioned, like his teacher and mentor, late Dr. T B Rajashekar, Dr. Cholin is a role model for the budding LIS professionals.
