Dear All,  With pleasure to inform that Department of Library and Information Science, University of Calcutta published its annual journal "Calcutta University Journal of Information Studies" (CUJIS, No. 12) in 2010 based on the university decision to publish all departmental journals on the theme "Rabindranath Tagore"to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of the great poet.  Prof. Dhrubajyoti Chattopadhyay, Pro-Vice- Chancellor for Academic Affairswrote in his Forwarding message that Dept. of LIS was the first dept who published the journal on the theme. It draws a picture of  Tagore's visions and missions for library. His associations         with various     libraries and support for library movement have been shown chronologically in the beginning of this paper. Libraries namely Sabitri library, Chaitanya             library, Rammohan     library and Bengal Library Association have been mentioned here.
