New agreed definition of predatory publishing

Dear All, We are all aware that scholars from India contribute a substantial number of papers in Predatory Journals that cause the rising incidences of shoddy scholarship in Academia in our country. However, we lack an agreed definition of Predatory Publishing. The new issue of 'Nature' has espoused a consensus definition of Predatory Publishing, which is - “Predatory journals and publishers are entities that prioritize self-interest at the expense of scholarship and are characterized by false or misleading information, deviation from best editorial and publication practices, a lack of transparency, and/or the use of aggressive and indiscriminate solicitation practices.”-Nature 576, 210-212 (2019) Regards,Rabishankar GiriPresidency Universitywww.presiuniv.ac.inhttps://scholar.google.co.in/citations?user=lCUXD_cAAAAJ&hl=en&oi=aohttp://orcid.org/0000-0001-9459-8258
