The way out of this WEB (in literal sense) seems to be only through planned organization, using faceted techniques, of the burgeoning sources of information. The role of XFML i.e. extensible faceted markup language gets defined in this context. The markup language allows one to relate the topics of concern and to provide a meaningful way of accessing information. This seminar on XFML will try to explore its nuances and suitability for defining a web of well-placed, closely-knit information threads.
