Forthcoming Event at Bioinformatics Centre, University of Pune Workshop on Building Digital Libraries using Greenstone Digital Library Software At Bioinformatics Centre, University of Pune, Pune 411 007, on 30th November - 1st December 2003. Timings: 9.00 am to 6.00 pm Objectives and goals of workshop The goal of this workshop is to give basic training on GSDL to initiate building digital libraries/files. Focus is on installing, configuring, application and administration of this package. At the end of the Workshop, participant should have acquired the knowledge and skill sets required to build digital libraries using GSDL. Who can participate? Library and Information professionals those are currently working in library and information centres�from Pune area/region. Pre-requisites Participants should have basic computer knowledge to use various commands in WINDOWS and DOS environment. Good understanding of electronic documents, web sites, HTML page creation, word processing, Internet searching, and databases is essential. Course material Each participant will get GSDL installation CD-ROM. It will also have course material and exercises.
