Dear All, India celebrates National Library Week during November 14 to 20 every year. This year’s celebration is fast approaching. As we understand the National Library Week (NLW) is celebrated starts on Children’s day, it happens to be the birthday of India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, and continue for a week. I am curious to know when did (in which year) this NLW started? Are there any other reasons behind NLW? I think, it is a good idea fellow librarians/libraries can share the activities they carry out in their libraries during this weeklong celebration, it will certainly help many. Please send your reply to LIS Forum for the benefit of all. Regards, Sunil -- Dr. Sunil M.V.
