Dear Sir, its very fascinating week for LISC professionals.At last we break our shackles and come to know that English is the language which is very much need for us to communicate in this global village. But still there is lot of debate about weather one should have mastery over English language or not. Dr S.R. Ranganthan himself stated in one of his book " Reference services".That if he didn't not visit England and got associated with Some of leading professionals in England at that time.He could not able to introduce and practise the concept of reference service in India in a systematic way. Was Dr. Ranganthan communicated in regional language to get know about the Reference Service?. Even tourist guide in places like Agra, Delhi. Rajasthan etc are earning 40.000 to 50.000 in a season by explaining the history and cultural heritage of India to Western people in English If we are not associated with the other world it is very difficult for us to know the new developments.In regional language we can only able to know the tips of an iceberg.
