I am conducting research on the same topic entitled " Impact of surfing on Reading Habits: A Case Study of the Students Of Kashmir Valley". During my study i find most of the students use online resources but still spend a good amount of time on reading their interested information. So we can conclude that only reading formats have changed not reading habits. Thans you fayazlib @yahoo.co.in

Hello,
In Finland, since 1984 the Finland Library Association celebrates every
second year a library week or library day. In China, since 1989, the Library
Week is celebrated by the Bureau of the Ministry of Culture during May or
June. In US, since 1958, the Library Week is celebrated by the ALA during
April. In Lithunia, the first Library Week was celebrated in April of 2001.
Brief/details about "Library Week" in these countries have been provided in
different papers in the title "Marketing Library and Information Services:
International Perspectives" published by K G Saur.
A recent paper about library marketing "Key Publications in Library
Marketing: a review" has appeared very recently in IFLA Journal
http://www.ifla.org/V/iflaj/IFLA-Journal-3-2006.pdf on page 224-231.
