You would be aware that IPv6 implementation is a need of the hour as well as the mandate of the Government and its organisation. However being a new protocol brings with it a lot of challenges and need for enhanced skill development. ERNET India- Indian National Research & Education Network (NREN) had successfully transited to IPv6 about half a decade ago and has been empanelled by DoT and appointed nodal agency by DeitY for IPv6 transition in the government - are organising an IPv6 Workshop on 2nd May 2014 at IIT Chennai. The workshop intends to enrich participants with what the other organisations are doing on this front, how they should proceed and the methodologies they should adapt in the form of presentations by eminent panelists. The workshop would be followed by an exposure to the real world of IPv6 in the form of Hands-on training for those interested as well as in the some live demos of the opportunities that IPv6 brings to the civilization.
