Modi to dedicate digitised library to State on Aug 15 http://cities.expressindia.com/fullstory.php?newsid=95105 Express News Service Vadodara, August 10: A NETWORKED library with digitised journals and thesis at the Anand Agricultural University (AAU) would be dedicated to the region by Chief Minister Narendra Modi during Independence Day celebrations on August 14. The E-library that has come up under National Agricultural Research System (NARS) is one of its kind in western India and is expected to cater to research needs in Agricultural Sciences of a large community of students and faculty alike. AAU V-C Professor M C Varshneya informed that the comprehensive library would provide all important agricultural databases ranging from journals, biological abstracts, current contents, J-CCC, CMIE, J-gate, Agris, Agricola, Winspire on members' desktops. University sources informed that the staff members and students have been trained in LIBSYS software for operating the library and that it has been connected with other agricultural university campuses in the state at Junagadh, Dantiwada and Navsari.
