Dear Librarian/Information Scientist,
Recognizing India's contribution to world science, ScopusTM has instituted
the SCOPUS YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARD to recognize and reward the Indian
researcher's talent, knowledge and expertise. This award will be given away
in eight major scientific disciplines :
Biological Sciences :Chemistry :Earth & Oceanographic Sciences :
Engineering : Mathematics : Medicine : Physics :Social Sciences
We are extremely happy to be inviting nominations from your institution to
be considered for this award. The award carries a plaque and a cash award of
at least Rs. 50,000. The criteria for award selection are as follows:
* Must be an Indian citizen and not be over 40 years of age as of
31.12.2006
* No. of Papers published in peer-reviewed (Indian & foreign) journals
will only be considered
* No. of Citations received
* No. of Patents filed
The selection committee will consist of subject experts in the eight areas.
