Dear sir/Madam, Attituded of both Government and Private Intuitions towards library professionals are same. They looks down us as if we are not productive, even they don't spare a single chance to mock library professionals. These kind of situations happens because of lack of creativity, knowledge, enthusiasm and communication skills among most of our professionals. When it comes to validate our professional demands majority of the library professionals are not able to defend themselves because they can't speak better English and they are unsophisticated in their approach. So, in my view first we the library professionals should empower ourselves and prosper in our profession. Ameet Joshi. Library Department NMIMS College, B.G Road campus, Bangalore. Some of our members have a good influence on apex bodies like UGC and the higher education departments, so they can do something of their own and regain the status of LIS profession.A joint and Meaningful effort is highly needed in this regard. *Best Regards,* Vijesh P.V *Librarian,* Fr.Moses Library Rajagiri College of Social Sciences(Autonomous), Rajagiri P.O.
