The Department of Studies in Library and Information Science (MyDLIS) has been an academic trailblazer since its inception on June 24, 1965. As one of India’s oldest departments in the field, it pioneered the nation's Master's and PhD programs and launched Vidyanidhi, India's first electronic thesis database, which paved the way for the national Shodhganga initiative. This Diamond Jubilee celebrates its ongoing mission to recalibrate librarianship for a connected world. Our extraordinary lineup of eminent key speakers includes renowned historian and author Dr. Vikram Sampath, who will deliver the inaugural address. Attendees will also hear from Prof. S.
