Dear Professionals, Kerala Library Association Kottayam Region in association with St. Berchmans College is going to organise a one day workshop on Mendeley. Mendeley is an innovative reference management software which helps to organize references and documents of scholarly literature. Mendeley has connected with wide range of journal databases and can retrieve extensive collection of scholarly literature. Users can easily integrate Mendeley with word processor and insert citations from personal library. Mendeley supports thousands of reference styles. Mendeley is cross platform tool and can work with computer and mobile phone running on various operating systems like Linux, Android, Mac and Windows. Users can build online groups and collaborate with peers using Mendeley online platform. Mendeley is an essential tool for academic community engage with scholarly literature. SCOPE The following topics will cover in the workshop:: - Installation of Mendeley desktop client and web importer - Building Mendeley Library - In-Text Citation and reference preparation in MS-Word/Libre Office - Bibliography generation from Mendeley - PDF document management - Connection and collaboration with peers - Backup and sync with cloud storage - Importing and exporting references WHO CAN PARTICIPATE Faculty Members, Research scholars, M.Phil, PG students in all disciplines and Library professionals.
