Dear Professionals ( Please convey this message to all Professionals you know) Karnataka State Library Association plans to hold "LIS Veterans Day" some time during early February, 2006. The purpose is to recognize the contribution of senior and elderly LIS Professionals and to honour them. The occasion will give an opportunity for younger professionals to meet and share the experiences of Veterans. KALA had organised such an event meaningfully on April 5, 1999 when it celebrated its 10th anniversary. This time we will honour all those who retired after April 5, 1999 and also those who retired earlier but KALA missed out in honouring them earlier. Criteria: 1. All Life Members of KALA OR 2. All LIS Professionals from Karnataka, served any where in the world. If you are the one under these categories, please send your biodata along with present address and telephone number.
