Student Colloquium-8 Group II Topic: A Succinct on Digital Humanities Abstract Digital Humanities aka humanities computing is an incisive intellectual movement. It is a trajectory of study, research, teaching and publication concerned with the reinvigorating disciplines of arts, computing and the humanities. It involves data collection, curation and dissemination of information in electronic form. It is an interdisciplinary field that provides rich opportunities for engagement between academicians and other benefactors, whereby each party gets along in knowledge production, organization and management. Digital projects are complex endeavors that requires tools and standardization to potentially synthesize humanities and computing. Few initiatives akin to revitalizing humanities are also scrutinized. Nevertheless, a spectrum of avenues that await realization, issues that seek rectification and applicability of Digital Humanities in realm of Library and Information Sciences are thematically interwoven in the presentation.
