INVITATION LETTER
Dear Sir/ Madam
It gives us immense pleasure to inform you that we are organizing a National
Conference on INNOVATIVE LIBRARY SERVICES FOR DYNAMIC KNOWLEDGE SOCIETY,19th
February, 2012 (Sunday).
The event shall provide a common platform for the exchange of knowledge
between Academicians, Information managers, Librarians, IT Professionals,
Knowledge based professionals, LIS research Scholars and Students to have a
vital role to play in the process of emergence of new theories, models,
systems, and technologies. They also have a responsibility to harness these
for common good and strive to prevent their possible ill effects in the era
of rapid growth in technologies. This Conference will play a significant
role in generating awareness about the potential and the limitations of new
technologies, concepts, theories, and trends. The chief objective of This
conference is to bring together experts from industries, academia, R&D
institutions and other user communities on a common platform to discuss and
share their expertise and experiences.
Call for papers
Authors are being invited to submit their Original Research papers
previously unpublished, not currently under review by another conference or
journal, are solicited in Library & Information Science including, but not
limited to, in the following areas. All submissions will be subjected to at
least two blind reviews. Acceptance will be based entirely on quality,
relevance and originality.

These sub-themes are indicative and not exhaustive:
• User centric approaches
• Innovative library services
• ICT based information services
• Digital Libraries to knowledge management – a shift
• Service innovation and management
• Changing nature of E-society
• Impact of open source software on libraries
• Application of Web2.0 in library fields
• Best practices and case studies on innovative library
services
However the research ideas from relevant and related areas are also welcome.
Many eminent experts from India and abroad are expected to participate in
the conference. We will be happy to have you as one of the honorable
participants in the conference. We shall be grateful to receive your
suggestions for the conference. I hope that you will be able to join us as
and grace the event.
Prospective authors are invited to submit their full papers in English
language in soft copy form in MS-Word 2003 or MW-Word 2010 format to the
