He is elected in the first count it self. He is the first LIS professional elected as member of Delhi University Academic Council. for his credit he has many things, such as he was first LIS professional elected as Joint secretary of Delhi University teachers Association (DUTA) and was also incharge Secretary for wome time. He is the first LIS professional to work as warden in Delhi University. He is also first LIS professional to get elected as Secretary fo Staff Council for a period of 4 years. He is the first LIS professional to be the Secrtary and also president of College staff association. Mr DV Singh has many credits with first LIS professional to take over number of positions in the Delhi University. generally these positions are taken by the teachers. Mr singh election to these positions indicates acceptance by the teaching community that the library professionals are also on par with the teachers. his election is pride for all of us. we have seen him speaking powerfully for the cause of the profession. let us join together to wish him all thebest and get elected to many more such positions.
