The details of the seminar are given below: Title: 13th Dr. TB Rajashekar Memorial Seminar (2017): CORAL – Open source electronic resource management tool Date: November 18, 2017 (Third Saturday) Venue: Choksi Hall, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru - 560012 About Seminar Theme: Electronic resource management (ERM) is the practices and techniques used by librarians and library staff to track the selection, acquisition, licensing, access, maintenance, usage, evaluation, retention, and de-selection of a library's electronic information resources (Wikipedia). Number of proprietary ERM tools is available for the effective management of E-resources, to name few Innovative Interfaces, Serial Solutions, ExLibris etc. CORAL is an open source electronic resource management system built by the University of Notre Dame’s Hesburgh Libraries. It is designed to be both simple and highly customizable – each module can be installed independently or used together depending on your library’s needs. Objective of the Seminar: To demonstrate the basic features of CORAL, Installation and configuration, and various modules. At the end of the seminar, the participants should have a clear understanding of CORAL functionalities.
