Dear Friends, The Department of Library and Information Science, University of Mysore was established on June 24, 1965 and has entered its 40th year of fruitful existence and contribution to society in general and to LIS profession in particular. At the threshold of crossing a milestone such as the 40th anniversary, it is time for the DLIS to introspect and prospect. We would like to collect as complete data as possible about our alumni and interact with them with a view to know where we stand in terms of our true 'contributions' to the LIS profession - our alumni and their contributions. In this context, the DLIS, University of Mysore intends to revitalize its Alumni Association- which has been kind of dormant for very long.
