helo sir / madam Govt of India is working seriously to make Digital India, but after making the online registration of ISBN, things have become much ore difficult to get ISBN The website is not user friendy and does not mention the required documents at one place. After loading the the documents, if any thing more is to be uploaded the website is not clear. I want every one to read my own experience in getting the ISBN in spite of one of my student who is Joint Secretary cadre officer recommending to the concerned Joint secy. * I ONLY WISH THE MHRD OFFICIALS MAKE IT MORE USER FRIENDLY * In the month of July 2016, when we were trying to get the ISBN, we had real problems. They want us to fill the details, and then no response. It says that incomplete, but what is needed cannot be explicitly indicated. Again they want the cover page with details. we cannot print the cover page / title page until last minute. Why not the website gives complete list of documents needed for the registration to get ISBN. One of my student , who is a joint secy in the government asked the concerned Joint secy but no use. I spoke to her and others, but no use The telephone at ISBN agency is not responded? Publishing of book was more easier than getting ISBN. Ultimately with lot of influence, I got the number after two months of publishing the book?? I thought onine registration make us easy to get ISBN, but it is unfortunate that even the concerned Joint secy response was cold as she was saying it will come when u upload the necessary documents? *why not the website lists out at one stage, what to upload and sequentially we can upload.
