Venue :- Hall # 1-14, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi Duration :- 2-10 February, 2008 Timing :- Daily 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Inauguration :- Saturday, 2nd February, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Hamsadhwani Theatre, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi Organisor :- National Book Trust,India, New Delhi N.B. :- Hindi & other Indian languages Publishers will participate in large no. in this book fair. Background Information :- The National Book Trust, India, established in 1957 organises a Biennial New Delhi World Book Fair at International level. The New Delhi World Book Fair is the Second Biggest Book Fair in the world. India is perhaps the only country in the world which publishes books in 32 languages. It ranked 3rd in the publication of English books immediately after U.S. & U.K.mMore than 70,000 new titles are published every year, out of which 20,000 are in English language. The Fair combines copyright trade, book trade, cultural activities, exhibitions & displays, information exchanges & industrial communications. The 17th New Delhi World Book Fair was organised by NBT from 27th Jan. - 4th Feb., 2006. With an exhibition area of 38,000 square metres, the Fair had 2000 stalls for 1,300 exhibitors from 18 countries. Delhi's Tourist Attraction :- 1.
