1 I suggest you contact the Library Officers of the following
Institutions for help and advice in this matter:
1. Ms. J. Sahoo, Asst. Librarian, State Museum,
Bhuvaneswar, Orissa ( She has published a paper on preservation of library
records)
2. National Archives, Janpath, New Delhi
3. National Library, Kolkatta
3. Saraswathi Mahal Library, Thanjavur (This Library
is preserving old manuscripts and palm leaves of several Centuries old
4 Other Manuscripts/Archives Library in India
5. British Library/Library of Congress (as a last
resort)
2. You may also consult books on Preservation of Library
Books/Library Records and Library Binding. You may also conduct a search
on
Find Articles.com; Bnet.com; Library Science Abstracts etc.)
for sources of information.
3. Your problem is not serious and can be solved easily with little
effort. Perhaps, you can check out for a service provider in Coimbatore
who can undertake fumigation, lamination/adhesion and other
preservative measures for your old library accession register.
