Dear Dr. Pradeep Rai,
I like the suggestion by our professional friends, and was observing the reactions from different corners. It was a common practice when BIS was ISI and most of the Institutions which were subscribing to ISI Bulletin were also receiving communications regarding draft standards, and comments. It was sent as a package with the journal. I was a member of the ISI committee and was getting the notifications. In those days there was no email or any other electronic communication facility and through surface post was the only means of receiving feedback and revisions from the concerned. I have still maintained some revision drafts which were sent to ISI then.
So I think this practice of communication of new draft standards is a good idea and the lisforum would definitely welcome this suggestion and that would bring awareness about the work of BIS and concerned subject standards for application in their respective areas, and subjects and practices.
I have seen Dr. Francis's welcome note and hope it is well received by all. I am interested to see the new draft standards for adding up to my knowledge and if possible contribute.

Dear Francis
My intention was not to hurt anybody's feelings. I was just referring to the point that new year wishes were posted (as you pointed out in the form of messages). I am really sorry.

Since it is a matter of professional interest I don't think why it shouldn't be posted here.
Yes, agreed.
Anyway on occasions festival wishes n seasons wishes are also posted here.
This statement is not correct. No festive greetings and wishes are being approved for circulation on this forum for a very long time now unless such contents are part of the regular messages/replies.
Best, Francis
