<p>Today Oxford Journals and the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) announced a new publishing partnership for the <em>European Journal of Echocardiography</em>, starting in 2008. This will be the fourth of the ESC's titles to join Oxford Journals, following <em>European Heart Journal </em>in 2005, <em>Europace</em> in 2006, and <em>Cardiovascular Research</em>, which is also being launched by Oxford Journals for 2008.</p>

<div>The <em>European Journal of Echocardiography </em>is the official journal of the European Association of Echocardiography, a registered branch of the European Society of Cardiology. It publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed articles on the ultrasonic examination of the cardiovascular system, including ischaemic heart disease, valve disease, cardiomyopathy, congenital heart disease, and vascular disease. </div>

<p>One immediate benefit for readers of the European Journal of Echocardiography is that they will have access to toll-free reference links to other journals hosted on the HighWire platform, including <em>European Heart Journal</em>, <em>Journal of the American Medical Association</em>, and <em>New England Journal of Medicine</em>. <br>
