Dear Friends, Adoption of Koha ILS in Mysore University and British Libraries in India is a good move. I hope that, this initiatives inspire other libraries to use Koha. Many libraries not automated yet due to lack of money to buy a proprietary software. Koha now is in mature stage to use in Indian libraries. Lack of awareness and training are the main barrier. A general perception rooted among librarians is that Open Source softwares are not user friendly and difficult to learn. Its true, many librarians got bitter experiences while try to install Koha. Now scene is changed lot, Koha Live CD is available for download. Koha is ready to use after installing the live CD. No need to install Koha after Linux installation.
