Talawar, Honrable Vice Chancellor, University of Mysore inagurated the 9th Mysore Librarians and Information Scientists Association (MyLISA) Annual Day on May 29, 2010 at JSS Center for Management Studies Auditorium, SJCE Campus, Mysore. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest of the event, retired Vice-Chancellor Prof. P. Venkataramaiah said that remarkable advances have been witnessed in the field of information science. The proof of a good library is the extent to which the available services and facilities have been made available to the users, he said. Prof. Venkataramaiah released the association newsletter - MyLISA NEWS. Prof. B.G. Sangameshwara, Principal, Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, launched the association website (www.mylisa.org) and called for a serious debate on how to face the many challenges in the library field.
