Indira Gandhi National
Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) is a premier Institution engaged in documentation,
preservation and dissemination of Indian Cultural Heritage. Kalanidhi Reference Library of IGNCA is
one of the reputed library in India.
A project for indexing of Indian journals received in Kalanidhi Reference
Library has been initiated.

The above work involved indexing and abstracting of the articles
published in some selected Indian Journals available in Kala Nidhi Reference
Library since the formation of library.
·
The indexing and abstracting will be done both in English and Hindi as
only Journals published in Hindi and English will be covered under the proposed
project.

It is proposed to recruit two Library Professionals for indexing and
abstracting in English and one for indexing in Hindi. The minimum qualification will be as
follows :-

B. Lib & Inf. Science
Experience
:
One to two years
Technical Qualification :
a) Knowledge of computers
preferably working
knowledge in
Libsys
b) Minimum typing speed of
computer data entry
in
English and Hindi speed 30 wpm and 25 wpm
Period of appointment :
2 years
Salary
:
Rs. 15,000/- p.m.
Relaxation can be given
in case of candidates having experience and excellent knowledge/skills in
indexing or abstracting.
