Dear Professional Friends, I take this opportunity to congratulate all the academic Librarians for having got the VIth PRC Recommendations approved by Government of India. During the last V Pay Commission Recommendations and their implementations there was a great amount of disparity between Teachers and Librarians. Hence Librarians were to suffer for one full decade to get their grievances redressed. This time thanks to the PRC members and Prof. Chaddha the Chairman of PRC who gave ear to our voice and recommended parity for Librarians with that of teachers. Friends, still there are few anomalies exist and IALA has already submitted its memorandum to the Ministry of HRD, Secretary HRD and Chairman UGC.
