Dear Members, Quite a few LIS-Forum members have been complaining that they have, all of a sudden, stopped receiving LIS-Forum mails. Most of such complaints are from those who have their lis-forum registrations with their personal IDS - Gmail/Yahoo/Hotmail etc. I have experienced the problem myself as I have registered with both my official and personal IDs. I have reported the issue to our network administration, but I have been told that there are no issues as far as relying of lis-forum mails are concerned from IISc relay host. So, the problem lies elsewhere. Googling the issue reveals that several other discussion lists are having similar issues. The problem could be because of the anti-spoofing policy implemented by Gmail/Yahoo etc., which, in turn, is affecting genuine mails, too. For details about anti-spoofing policy, please follow the link, http://www.pcworld.com/article/2141120/yahoo-email-antispoofing-policy-break... What is puzzling is that nondelivery of lis-forum mails is not consistent across all the personal ID based registrations. Some members continue to get the lis-forum mails on their personal IDs on a regular basis, but quite a few others are not receiving lis-forum mails at all. I request all the lis-forum registrants who have received this mail to convey the information to their friends and colleagues, especially those who have registered with LIS-forum with personal IDs, and have stopped getting lis-forum mails. Another way to keep a tab on all the approved lis-forum messages is by accessing the lis-forum archives. The archives are available from from April 2003 onwards. It can be accessed at http://ncsi.iisc.ernet.in/pipermail/lis-forum/ Thanks and regards, Francis Francis Jayakanth Moderator, LIS-Forum
