Dear Professional friends, Sub: Visvesvaraya Technological University organizing an AICTE-Sponsored Short-Term Training Program from 9th to 13th May 2022. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) sponsored Five Day’s Short Term Training Program (STTP) on “Proficiency Skills for Library Professionals under the New Education Policy (NEP)” is being organized by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) Belagavi from 9th to 13th May 2022 for Library professionals of AICTE approved institutions in India. The librarians under NEP are expected to have a skilled service attitude. The Libraries need to act as education service centers for print, digital, and personnel resources. Teachers and Librarians need to work collectively to make Libraries a positive working environment and create opportunities to serve the student community. The STTP's main goal is to prepare LIS professionals to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century by providing them with the dispositions that form the core of an individual's personality and character, a motivated workforce, and opportunities to serve the user community in accordance with NEP's goals. Eligibility of participants: Library professionals from AICTE Approved Technical Institutes are eligible to participate in the Short Term Training Program on “Proficiency Skills for Library Professionals under the New Education Policy (NEP)”. Certificate: The certificate of participation for the library professionals who register for the program shall be issued, provided they satisfy the attendance requirement of 80 % of the 10 sessions held during five days of the program and secure 60 % of the maximum marks (100) prescribed for formative evaluation and summative evaluation.
