Dear Colleagues: Covid-19 pandemic has caused overwhelming devastation to our families, friends, communities, countries and the whole world. The second wave of the Covid-19 Pandemic has already spread to the community level in all cities and rural India. Unfortunately, the second wave of Covid-19 is taking the precious Lives of LIS professionals in a more significant number across the country. In this situation, a group of like-minded LIS Professional Associations and some of the Publishing Firms joined together and have decided to assist the Covid-19 affected Professionals and the diseased professionals' families. A meeting of leading office bearers of different LIS Professionals met virtually on May 15, 2021, and have decided to start a Mission to support the Covid-19 affected Professionals and their families in case of their deaths. The meeting decided to name this mission "HelpLIS-Mission." The Mission Group of Help LIS Mission met in several meetings and has developed a portal to help the Covid-19 affected LIS Professionals and the families of the deceased professionals due to covid-19.
