Dear all,
I just wanted to know, what is the prescribed qualifications for the post of
Librarian in an engineering colleges, which are affiliated to AICTE?
Recently Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) had called for 9 posts
of Librarian in government engineering colleges in Karnataka State. In
that, it had mentioned that NET/SLET is must for the post of Librarian and
Physical educational personnel in an engineering colleges. Whereas for the
post of lecturers in non-engineering disciplines like English, geology,
Chemistry, maths etc. are exempted from NET/SLET, if they have Mphil or PhD
degree.
My question is Why the same criteria is not applied for the post of
Librarian?
Is it violation of AICTE norms?
Can any one go to the court of law for verdict?
What can we do for this?
Kindly provide us the necessary details regarding qualifications as per
AICTE norms for the post of librarian.
