On behalf of IASLIC, we extend our warm and hearty congratulations to Dr. P.R. Goswami, Director, NASSDOC (ICSSR), New Delhi and one of the dynamic Vice Presidents of IASLIC for his appointment as Director, Central Secretariat Library, (Ministry of Culture, Government of India), New Delhi. Dr P R Goswami held the position of Chief-Librarian-Cum-Documentation Officer in Planning Commission (2001-2002). He was Librarian Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi (1986-2001) and Librarian Central Statistical Organization, Government of India (1982-1986). As a winner of International Paper Competition, organized by the Special Interest Group – International Information Issues, American Society for Information Science and Technology (ASIST); he was awarded Membership of the ASIST for four years i.e. 2001-2005. Dr Goswami has long association with IASLIC. He was elected as Vice President, Indian Association of Special Libraries and Information Centres (IASLIC), Kolkata (2004-2005 and 2008-2010).
