Dear Colleagues,
Some of you may have seen the 'Declaration To Defend Research Against U.S.
Government Censorship
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1cC6Vu_CAtgxSck8S9be_hmzSu-w2DsaJ02Nw5oea...'
coordinated by Lisa Schiff, Alice Meadows, Catherine Mitchell, Sara Rouhi,
and Peter Suber. The declaration serves as a call to action for the
scholarly communication community and other stakeholders in response to
recent steps by the US Government that involve, among others, the *banning
of terms in scholarly publications and the removal of datasets* and public
websites (https://tinyurl.com/2dyadwzr).
I feel that we should add our support to the Declaration, either as
individuals or as organizations. You can then proceed to extend your
support and sign the Declaration by clicking this Link:

Delaying our response will only amplify the risks of censorship in academic
research and cause irreparable harm.
*Now it's the time to act...!*
Warm regards
Jiban
