Call for Papers Library and Information Services in Astronomy - LISA VIII: Astronomy Librarianship in the Era of Big Data and Open Science 6 - 9th June, 2017 Hosted by the Centre de Données astronomiques de Strasbourg (CDS) Held at the Collège Doctoral Européen on the campus of the University of Strasbourg, France The official LISA VIII website: http://cds.u-strasbg.fr/meetings/Lisa8/ http://cds.u-strasbg.fr/meetings/Lisa8/ The Library and Information Services in Astronomy (LISA) is a series of scientific meetings for librarians and scientists that aims to provide a platform to discuss the state of the art of information maintenance, retrieval, delivery, and preservation and to learn from invited experts the directions in which our profession is moving. LISA conferences cover such diverse topics as organization and management of books, journals, and specialized materials; electronic publishing (note that astronomy is a leader in the field); bibliographic and full text databases of astronomical literature; reports on collaborative projects. Come join us! The conference Keynote Speaker will be Françoise Genova, Senior Researcher at CDS, IVOA Executive Board Member and Co-Chair of the RDA Technical Advisory Board. The LISA VIII Scientific Organizing Committee (SOC) cordially invites you to submit contributed talks and poster presentations.
