The library provides comprehensive and up-to-date information about Germany. Responsibilities: Ø Maintain the Institute's homepage, country portal for India and the intranet Ø Develop web-projects Ø Develop interactive Web 2.0 and ICT-based services Ø Train and supervise staff in the usage of content management system Ø Monitor and evaluate usage of website and web-products Ø Maintain Library software in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Head Office Ø Take part in cataloguing and provide information services Ø Maintain address databases Ø Coordinate and work in close cooperation with the Head Office Requirements: Ø Master's degree from an accredited library school Ø Diploma in computer application an advantage Ø Excellent computer skills (word processing, file manager, image editing, HTML, DHTML and JavaScript) Ø Excellent training and communication skills to explain complex Internet and PC applications to colleagues Ø Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ø Knowledge of spoken and written German language and culture an added advantage Ø Minimum of two years professional experience Ø Initiative, flexibility and ability to work in a team environment Ø Strong commitment to public service Remuneration in accordance with the MMB salary scheme and in commensuration with qualifications and experience.
