Dear LIS Colleagues,
Greetings from the Department of Library and Information Science, Bishop Heber College, Tiruchirappalli!
We are indeed pleased to announce that our department, in collaboration with the Indian Association of Teachers of Library and Information Science (IATLIS), is organizing a Two-Day National Conference on "Sustainable Development Strategies for the Transformation of LIS Education and Research" on 28th February and 1st March 2025.
The conference will focus on transforming LIS Education and Research. As educators and practitioners in this vital field, we share the responsibility of revamping LIS curricula and bridging the gap between LIS schools and Learning Resource Centres. This initiative aims to address contemporary challenges and foster meaningful discussions to shape the future of LIS education and research.
We would like to invite you to participate in the conference and contribute papers on the main theme and its sub-themes outlined in the brochure I've attached. Your presence and scholarly contributions will undoubtedly enrich the deliberations and help us make impactful decisions for the transformation of LIS Education and Research in the future.
We are excited to see you participate in the conference. Please share this announcement with your departmental and college librarian colleagues. We appreciate your support.
Thanking you,
Sincerely,
