Department of Library and Information Science, The University of Kashmir (J&K)

is organizing a National Seminar on

"Open Access Movement: Initiatives, Promotion

and Impact" from 23-25 October , 2008.

All interested with the theme are invited to join

the event to take part in deliberations and help in bringing an awareness among

stakeholders , to ensure developing a powerful lobby in framing a fruitful policy for

making Open Access archiving to scholarship mandatory in India.However,the

scholars, teachers and professionals and other stakeholders can submit their original

research papers covering conceptual innovations, case studies, evaluations etc

III.Sponsorships from Societies, Corporate bodies, Institutes etc are also invited for

the Seminar.

The charges are:

b. Kit and Logo Sponsorship on banners etc Rs 10,000.00

c. Full Session Sponsorship (Special) Rs 15,000.00

d. Full Seminar Sponsorship Rs 25,000.00

IV.ACCOMODATION etc

a.Limited rooms are available in university Guest House , which will be hence

reserved on first come basis . However, we can arrange some nearby hotels for the

delegates and participants.

b. Local Sight seen arrangements will be made on special request.

V.WEATHER

The weather is normally pleasant and dry during mid October. The temperature

ranges between 15-20 degree centigrade.
