Role : Library Assistant : Novozymes Library is now looking for a Library Assistant for our site in Bangalore, India (new position).The Novozymes Library is part of Novozymes Patents & Licensing (P&L) which is a dynamic international organization within Novozymes and has branches in Denmark, UK, the US and China. The vacant position offers great challenges in maintaining the administrative responsibility for our database containing the patent portfolios of Novozymes competitor’s (Novozymes competitor database), including extracting information from patent databases and uploading this information to Novozymes competitor database. Furthermore, the position will also require attention to other Novozymes library tasks. The person will be working together with local colleagues as well as colleagues abroad and will be reporting to the Senior Manager of License & Strategy in Denmark. Qualifications: 2 - 5 years of relevant work experience You must have a graduate degree in library science and prior library experience. You have a strong attention to details as well as strong IT and database (e.g. DERWENT (World Patent Index) and INPADOC) experience. You must be fluent in English and have good communication skills. On a personal level, you are self-disciplined, systematic and comfortable with driving various activities, working both independently and within a team. Challenges : You will be responsible for the administrative aspects of our database containing the patent portfolios of Novozymes competitor’s (Novozymes competitor database). He/she will be responsible for the regularly analysis and reporting of the status of competitor cases to P&L patent attorney, handling P&L SOP and guidelines for the Novozymes competitor database. The person will also be responsible for other Novozymes Library tasks such as local specialist in our new library software, help train Library users in India, help answer incoming ‘helpdesk’ questions, help users setup individual alerts.
