Mr. Rod Pryde (the British council's minister for cultural affairs) has indicated the council's willingness to handover the British library at Trivandrum to state government after a discussion with the chief minister of Kerala.

I would like to thank those who have signed the online petition to Mr. Rod Pryde.

I fully agree with Mr. K.Rajasekharan about his valuable views about the state libraries. I acknowledge his despair towards the pathetic condition of state libraries. Let us hope that condition will not come to the British library. I request him to publish his letter in the newspapers of Kerala so that it can act as an eye opener to the concerned authorities
