Cambridge University Press sees rise in journal Impact Factors
According to the Thomson ISI Journal Citation Reports (JCR), the entire
Cambridge Journals list shows an average increase in Impact Factor of
15.1% from 2004 to 2005. To place this in context, the equivalent
changes in the aggregated Impact Factors of all the journals in the
subject categories in which Cambridge journals sit, amounted to an

Orlando :New Research Database on Women's writing
'Orlando' is the first scholarly history of British Women's writing and
is unique in its approach and coverage. It grew out of a project based
at University of Alberta and took over 10 years and about 100 people to
build, and in the process developed a specialised tagging base system.
It is a comprehensive electronic database of information relating to
women's writing in the British Isles, from earliest times to today, and
offers a wealth of biographical and critical information on more than
800 British women writers (including over 20,000 bibliographical
listings), together with helpful entries on literary and historical
events, male writers and non-British women writers.
