Dear Colleagues, I have copy of of UGC letter No. F.1-9/96(PS) dated June 8, 1998 written by Shri P Prakash, Dy Secy.(UGC), to Shri H Hanumanthappa, Dy Secy-Edu Deptt(Karnatka) in reply to his DO letter , and letter no.5-7/2000(PS) dated 27Jan,2003.Both letters are very categorical in saying that librarians working in universities and government and aided colleges as teachers(Non-vocational).However I have no idea of any letter/notification issued later on by UGC/MHRD. regards *Rajesh Kumar Pandey* *Asstt.
