The Department of Library and Information Science, Punjabi University, Patiala is organizing an ICSSR-sponsored National Seminar on Development and Trends in Social Sciences Research and Information Sources on 11 March 2016. Call for papers: Papers are invited on the sub-themes indicated below. These sub-themes are indicative only. Papers on any other sub-theme relevant to the theme of the seminar are also welcome. Papers not exceeding 3000 words should be sent by 8 March 2016 to hpskalra@gmail.com. For references, use the APA Style. Theme of the seminar: Development and Trends in Social Sciences Research and Information Sources Sub-themes of the seminar are: · Growth and Development of Social Sciences and their information sources, particularly of Economics, History, Sociology, and Political Science · Research Trends in Social Sciences · Social Sciences Information Sources especially from India · The Internet-based Resources and Services in Social Sciences · Social Science Information Systems · Networked and Distributed Databases in Social Sciences · Use of Social Sciences Literature (print and online) · Role of national and international institutions, organizations, and associations in promoting social sciences information. Registration fee: Rs. 500. For students: Rs. 300. Payable by cash at the Registration Desk at the venue of the Seminar. A certificate of participation would be issued to all registered participants.
