It's a nice question and some where it also fall under Arts. These
variations are clear indication that LIS profession is loosing it's
Identity. Library professionals employment condition is similar wether they
are teaching or non teaching?
Neither our top leaders nor associations take up the matter and place
themselves in appropriate place in the universe of knowledge.
I have doubt about the existence of this profession itself as per current
Indian scenerio?

Dear Friends, I have a doubt about, in which faculty the discipline of Library and Information Science should be included in university structure,such as:
Faulty of Science and Technology Faculty of Social Sciences Faculty of Commerce Faculty of Law Faculty of Education
In the University of Mysore, the discipline of Library and Information Science is grouped under the faculty of Science & Technology. In some places it comes under the faculty of social sciences. So, my request to the professionals is, under which subject (faculty) Library and Information Science should be included. Valuable inputs of the LIS members will be highly appreciated in this regard.
