INFLIBNET Centre, Gandhinagar has announced the *One Week National Workshop on "Libraries on Cloud" on 11th - 16th March 2019.* Cloud computing is a general term for the delivery of hosted services over the internet. Today number of institutes and their day-to-day activities are solely depended on IT. IT made the things faster, easier. It has a worldwide user base that includes cultural heritage organizations, universities, business schools, research institutions, national libraries, and government agencies. In this unique workshop, experts of Cloud will cover the fundamentals, installation of CMS and repository on Cloud for those who want to use the platform, and address the issues faced by those who are already running Cloud. At the end of the workshop participants will definitely gain more insights and in-depth knowledge on the fundamentals of Cloud, installation and customization. The following major topics will be covered in the workshop: # Introduction and Types of cloud; # Usage of Public Cloud; # Content Management System creation (Joomla) on cloud; # Open source LMS (Koha) on Cloud and # Institutional Repository (EPrints) on cloud. Target Participants: Library professionals, information scientists, system administrators, database managers, students and others working in universities/colleges/institutes who are interested in libraries on cloud environment. A maximum of 25- 30 candidates will be enrolled for the training programme on the First-Come-First-Served basis.
