Dear All,

I have this query about the copyright law…

As additional services provided by the library – I want to provide my readers the “Table of Contents” of the existing library collection.

We already have an LMS in place and on the OPAC I plan to tag the ToC of that specific book – so the readers not only get to know the cataloged details of the book, but they can also go through the ToC of that book before issuing it out of the library.

How does this hold with the copyright laws? Is it a copyright violation to scan and make available the ToC of the library collection? Please let me know….

Thanks in advance and Regards,

Parinita Samant
