Dear Dr. Sukhdev Singh:
We are glad that you appreciate the effort taken on open access to Dr.SRR's
works and other information sources related to him.
The Sarada Ranganathan Endowment for Library Science (SRELS) has given
permission to dLIST to digitize Dr.SRR's books and make them accessible to
users. The first book taken up is the Five Laws of Library Science. After
preliminary tests, other books will be taken up.
Kindly note that the contacts with and permission given to dLIST (Prof.
Anita Coleman) precedes the meeting of Dr.Raghavan, Dr. Prasad, Prof
Arunachalam at Mr. Satyanarayana's daughters wedding date. Perhaps you are
aware that Anita Coleman of the Univ. of Arizona, who initiated the Dr SRR
project was a student of Dr. Raghavan and that was connection as to how it
all started.
The other project is a joint effort of SRELS and the ISI Library, Bangalore.
(Dr. Krishnamurthy).
Best regards
Sincerely
A. Neelameghan

I can predict that people would be citing Dr. Ranganathan's Online
works more often now. People working in non-LIS areas will also
discover by "googling" that ideas on which they are working now were
already in the minds of Dr. Ranganathan.
